My Computer Is Running Slow, Why?
Last thing to check is your hard drive. This one is harder as it doesn’t always show bad even when it is. To check this we are gong to access the Event Viewer, to do this right click on My Computer and choose Manage. You will now have a small window popup, click on the plus symbol next to Event Viewer. Now click on System and scroll through the left side looking for red X’s. When you see one check the Source Field to see if it says DISK, if not keep going. If you do find one that has a red X and says disk, it’s a good indication that your drive is failing and needs to be replaced as soon as possible.
